Muslim Girl’s reaction to Trump’s Presidential Victory | 2016

I’m in utter disbelief. It took America hundreds of years to finally select the first black president back in 2008, a move that most would call progressive. With him being selected there was actually hope that Martin Luther King’s dream wouldn’t remain a dream, that America had finally moved on from the silly dividing notions of race and ethnicities.

And what happens eight short years after? A candidate wins for having beliefs to discriminate against ethnicities and religions and races and even genders. Millions of people lie in their graves, shaking with the notion that their death for the Civil War, or the suffragist movement turned into a full circle back to where it was.

My problem isn’t with Trump so much as it is with his supporters. The ones that have come out and said things that are absolutely wrong to the core, yet in their mind it’s mysteriously justified in some unexplainable way. Whether it’s regarding building the wall (which a latina wholeheartedly supported Trump for) or the many women that gave him nearly half their votes disregarding his misconducts against women, with some female supporters telling the victims “to get over it” as if it were nothing. Do I even need to elaborate further on the wrongness of this whole situation and the election? Do I need to mention any of the other rude and offensive things he’s said, and the stances he’s taken on issues?

There is a lot I can say about this topic, but it all comes down to the shock that is the millions who share this sentiment towards other ethnicities and elected him solely for this purpose. The ones who selected them as their “hero” to purge America of all that is different in order to make it “great again”

Furthermore, is anyone else worried that the future president, or whoever is running his twitter does not know proper english. Let’s just hope it’s a typo.

Anyways, the reality is like with any president, only so much can be changed in the country in four, or God forbid eight years. And if anything, we’ll at least enjoy some good antics from Trump on TV. Let’s just hope none of those antics initiate a WW3. That wouldn’t be so great.

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

Within minutes of the Paris tragedy, news and social media erupted into a frenzy regarding everything that dealt with the attacks, and the hashtag #PrayForParis was trending everywhere.

As much as I would love to take part in this, I cant, I wont.

I will not pray for Paris because Im Muslim.

I can already imagine any anti-Islamist and Islamaphobe reading this pointing a finger at me and rejoicing, saying I knew it, I knew it. I knew you Muslims were disgusting and despicable. Continue reading
